Portage Lift Bridge in Houghton/Hancock Michigan
Linking the Keewenaw penisula to the rest of the world..lol
I grew up 15 niles north of this bridge......On the Houghton side(south side) is Michigan Tech University (one of the top Universities in Engineering) ..where my Brother Aaron graduated with honors in electrical engineering 2001 (sorry had to say that)
On the Houghon side is our city basically..it is much bigger than Calumet/Laurium..But still small enough to have the small town feeling!
Hmmmmm this sight seems to be a tourism plug for the U.P. Oh well if it is GREAT..And a BIG THANK YOU to pasty.com for Providing all these BEAUTIFUL pictures for us "Yoopers" who are living in other locations right no but miss our home the Upper Penisula!
